ICONIC21 launches Wild Gold Mine 2, its first franchise slot

Slot franchises have become one of the most commercially active formats in iGaming, with established themes increasingly extended into sequels rather than replaced by new intellectual property. ICONIC21 launched Wild Gold Mine 2 on 23 July 2026, a high-volatility sequel to its Wild Gold Mine title that introduces three distinct bonus rounds and a 10,000x top prize.
Wild West setting returns with expanded bonus structure
ICONIC21 has released Wild Gold Mine 2, returning to the Wild West gold rush setting introduced in the original Wild Gold Mine, which launched in July 2025. Where the first title centred on Cash Symbols, Transforming Wilds and a Bonus Ladder mechanic, the sequel replaces that structure entirely with three distinct bonus rounds built around a new Dynamite symbol.
The Dynamite symbol sits at the core of the game’s feature set. Landing it can trigger the Bonus Wheel instantly, which either awards a cash prize or unlocks one of two enhanced spin modes: Bonus Spins or Super Bonus Spins. A third route, the Hold & Win round, activates when six or more Dynamite symbols land simultaneously. During that round, gold nuggets lock in place across the reels, each carrying an individual value. Four reward tiers are in play, including MINI, MINOR, MAJOR and GRAND, and the round pays out once the respin counter runs to zero.
The game is played across 243 ways with a stated top prize of 10,000x and launches in multiple RTP configurations. Both run at high volatility.
First title designed as a franchise property
ICONIC21 has positioned Wild Gold Mine 2 as the first slot in its portfolio conceived as part of a series from the outset. The move aligns with a broader industry shift: Hold & Win variants and sequel titles are among the most commercially active formats in iGaming in 2026, with established themes extended into follow-ups rather than replaced by new intellectual property.
For ICONIC21, the franchise approach represents a further step in its slot vertical expansion. The provider entered the slot vertical in late 2024, adding titles including Solar Sands, Vitamin Joy, Tortuga Fortune and Juicy Coins: Hold & Win after establishing its reputation through live casino content. Wild Gold Mine 2 is the first of those titles to receive a direct sequel.
